Opting In

When you register for Red Halo, you will be asked to provide your phone number and confirm your consent to receive SMS and MMS messages.

After signing up, you will receive a confirmation message asking you to verify your enrollment.

To begin receiving messages, you must reply YES.
No messages will be sent until this confirmation is completed.

By opting in, you agree to receive messages such as:

  • Emergency alerts and confirmations you trigger through the app

  • Account updates and important service notifications

  • Safety-related messages

Once confirmed, you will receive a welcome message that includes:

  • Notice that message frequency may vary

  • Disclosure that message and data rates may apply

  • Instructions to reply STOP to unsubscribe, HELP for assistance, or START to rejoin

How Messaging Works

When an alert is triggered:

  • A message is sent to your selected contacts

  • It may include your location and a link to your live Guardian Page

  • A photo is captured at the start of the alert to provide immediate context

These messages are sent only as a result of your actions within the app.

Opting Out

You are always in control of your messaging preferences.

At any time, you can:

  • Reply STOP to unsubscribe from messages

  • Reply HELP for assistance

  • Reply START to rejoin at any time

You will receive a confirmation message after opting out.

Trusted Contacts

Red Halo allows you to select trusted contacts who will receive alerts if you trigger an emergency.

These messages may include:

  • Your location

  • A link to your live Guardian Page

  • Context from the alert, such as a captured photo or updates

All recipients have full control over their participation and can opt out at any time using standard messaging commands (STOP, HELP, START).

By using Red Halo, you confirm that:

  • You consent to receive messages

  • You authorize Red Halo to send alerts to the contacts you choose
